Accessa discussione su Twitter fra Murray e Stakhovsky in merito al prize money fra uomini e donne nel tennis
Il polverone sul “sessismo nel tennis” ha scatenato grandi polemiche negli ultimi giorni, ad iniziare dalle dichiarazioni di Raymond Moore, fino a quelle più recenti di Djokovic in merito al prize money maggiore degli uomini rispetto alle donne. Il dibattito è ovviamente presente anche sui social. Nella notte italiana, l’ultimo scambio di battute su Twitter è avvenuto tra Andy Murray e Sergiy Stakhovsky. Il tennista ucraino, molto social e abile nell’arte della provocazione via social, ha paragonato il tennis femminile ad un’università di basso prestigio e Murray si è sentito in dovere di rispondere, lanciando la prima provocazione all’ucraino. “Allontanandoci dal territorio britannico ci sono più persone che guardano te e non Laura (Robson)? Davvero?” La risposta di Stakhovsky non si è fatta attendere: “la sede a Kiev è pronta, tutto quello che devi fare è convincere Laura a venire”. Murray controbatte: “ho giocato contro di te in Ucraina e forse c’erano un centinaio di persone lì al massimo!” Stakhovsky risponde: “hai visto qualche posto vuoto?” Stoccata finale di Murray: “quanti posti vuoti c’erano? Non ho contato perchè ero concentrato a vincere”.
