E’ Rachelle Simpson la campionessa mondiale dei tuffi dalle grandi altezze

Gli Stati Uniti hanno vinto oro e argento nei tuffi dalle grandi altezze, rispettivamente con Rachelle Simpson e Cesilie Carlton, campionessa uscente, ai Mondiali in corso a Kazan. Nelle acque del fiume Kazanka, dal trampolino da 20 metri l’ex ginnasta Simpson nel terzo ed ultimo tuffo ha raccolto 102 punti, chiudendo a 258.70. La connazionale ha finito a quota 237.35. Il bronzo e’ andato alla bielorussa Yana Nesterova, con 233.10 punti. I tuffi dalla grande altezza sono alla seconda apparizione, dopo quella del 2013 ai Mondiali di Barcelona.
